| Just to let you know we both enjoyed our visit to Split immensely. The Bungalow Bacvice was perfect for our requirements and easy walking distance to Riva & Marjan Hill and we are not as young as we used to be!! | Dear Family Brajević, We have great pleasure in writing this recommendation for your website. Four of us stayed in Marjan for 5 nights & our 3 friends in Zelena for 3 nights in Aug08 prior to embarking on a sailing trip. For 3 of us this was our first overseas trip. We could not have wished for a better begining experience of overseas accomodation & hospitality. We highly recommend Garden accomodation. The Brajević family are fabulous hosts. Nikola is very helpful, great fun & a fabulous teacher of Croatian to Jeff who had learnt a little Croatian before our trip. Nikola introduced us to where we could source supplies for our sailing trip. Davor & a friend helped us get the supplies from the big supermarket to the marina with a smile & friendly chatter. We all rate the clean, compact, safe, quiet, quaint accomodation 10 out of 10 and the Brajević family & friends 15 out of 10. | Dear Nikola, Better late than never! We want to thank you very much for your hospitality and wonderful stay in apartment Marjan in the middle of May this year. You met us at the ferry terminal when our ferry arrived from Korcula. You made it an easy drive by guiding us through the streets of Split to the apartment. Upon our arrival, it was a very pleasant surprise that we were switched from apartment Bila to apartment Marjan because of renovation construction. If all of your apartments are as new and comfortable as this than we have no problem recommending your apartments to anyone. The kitchen was a welcomed addition for our breakfasts and one dinner of fresh fish from the market. We especially want to thank you for coming to our rescue when Gordon became sick. Because of unseasonable weather and a cooler wind than normal, he contracted a very painful muscle spasm in his neck prior to our departure day. You were very understanding and personally walked Sandy to the local medical clinic, only to discover that they were closed for the day. You then stored our bags, had your brother take us to the hospital where Gordon was admitted very quickly, diagnosed and given medication which soon solved the spasms. | Dear Nikola! Thanks for a wonderful stay at the Marjan apartment in Split! The apartment is perfect for a stay in Split - only 2-3 minutes walk from the Riva and the Deoklectian Palace. And also thanks a lot for the hospitality and care you showed to us, Nikola! Being welcomed by cold beer (and fruit juice for the kids) was just a perfect start for our stay in Split! Nikola also gave us a number of proposals for daily trips - and the trip both to Hvar and Trogir was unforgetable! | A delightful experience; Our visit in October 2007 was too brief to absorb the warmth of this special city as fully as it deserves. But apartment Olga suited our style perfectly. Comfortable, immaculate, well laid-out. Memories include a morning view from the balcony, sipping espresso and pondering the day's first exploration ahead. Our hosts were excellent --completely at our disposal for information and advice, but at the same time unobtrusive. | Would you recommend: Yes What did you like: Nikola is definitely a wonderful host: very kind, helpful, considerate and reliable. The location is just perfect: 5 minutes by walk from the Old town. The cottages can be described as a little oasis in the heart of Split. The room we had (Tina) was absolutely charming, the walls are made of stone and the roof of wood. The room is big, very clean and with a sea view. Nikola welcomed us with fresh beers: Karlovacko, which became during this trip our favourite local drink. He gave us a map of Split and recommendations of what to see, where to eat and all important information to backpackers. Nikola has a great of philosophy of how to welcome his guests: nothing is too much trouble to make your holidays in Split a great time. Staff's (owner's) service and friendliness is top of the class. Rooms and amenties are basic, yet still offer more than one would expect given the very reasonable rates. As it's private accommodation though, it's not the place to go if you want to meet others as you just get the room. | My family and I spent approx 10 days staying in the Garden Apartments. We found the accommodation good, the position 100% perfect in relation to the Riva and Palace, and Nikola and his family could not have been more helpful and kind to us. We thank them all for a very happy stay in Croatia and hope to be back there again...
